In a January 25 workshop, "Together, Apart: Best Programming Practices to Keep Older Adults Connected", Wendy Handler, LMSW, Director, Onsite & Special Programs, Lorraine Novack Voytek, M.Ed, Director, Connect Through Tech Programs and Kelsey Donovan, Program Coordinator presented best practices to continue social connections, tools to build successful programs that meet clients’ social, emotional and concrete needs and rethink ways to increase levels of meaningful social interactions during this period of pronounced social isolation. More than 100 people participated in the workshop.
For the last 30 years,LiveOnNY has convened more than 400 aging services professionals in New York at their Annual Conference on Aging. This year, the 31st Annual Conference on Aging & Vendor Show will be hosted virtually, in light of COVID-19.
