Elisabeth Stam, DOROT Program Analyst, Receives ASA Award

We're excited to share that Elisabeth Stam has been awarded the "Graduate Student Research Award" from the American Society on Aging (ASA) for the best published or unpublished research paper on a completed project relevant to aging and applicable to practice.

Elisabeth is a gerontologist, social worker, and current Program Analyst at DOROT and a Ph.D. student in the Gerontology Department at the University of Massachusetts - Boston.

Her research paper focuses on the oral health disparities of older adults in the United States. Oral health is an emerging topic in gerontology today, now that more older adults are living well longer with their natural teeth. Elisabeth will receive this award at ASA’s annual On Aging Conference in Atlanta in late March.

Congratulations, Elisabeth!
