On Holocaust Remembrance Day, we're honored to share a story of survival, resilience and intergenerational connections.
DOROT senior volunteer Victoria Rosenthal Kristy, 81, connects regularly with teens through DOROT's Intergenerational Programs to share life experiences, including her family's story of fleeing Poland at the beginning of WWII.
"Holocaust Remembrance Day is a very valuable step to keep us informed, especially when — my family was this way — we really did not talk about what they went through," Kristy shared..."That's really what intergenerational is about to me, that I can share from my experience in my own life without lecturing."
