We're excited to share a new DOROT series, Love Sex & Friendship After 60. This series speaks directly to the U.S. Surgeon General's recent health advisory warning that people of all ages are experiencing an epidemic of loneliness and isolation. But there is a solution. The single best thing you can do to live a longer life and stave off depression is to cultivate meaningful relationships.
Whether you are looking to deepen an existing relationship, searching for a romantic partner, or hoping to make a new friend, join us! You will hear from men and women age 60+ who have built relationships later in life, and who represent a range of experiences and preferences.
With candor, insight, and humor, they will share stories about starting and ending relationships, the online dating world, experiences unique to older adults of color as well as embracing life alone. We also include programs on Safety and Online Dating and Cultivating Friendship, as well as opportunities to mingle with other DOROT community members in person.
