Making a card is an easy, fun and important way to contribute to the work that we do to decrease social isolation .
DOROT always has a need for birthday cards which we send to 3,000+ older adults each year. Sometimes, a card from a DOROT volunteer is the only communication an older adult receives to acknowledge their special day. We also welcome cards for Thanksgiving, Rosh Hashanah, and Passover holidays.
Whether you’re looking for something to do on a rainy day or planning an activity for your community or corporate group, making a card is a great way to help brighten someone’s day.
Here is some helpful information to guarantee a successful birthday or holiday cardmaking project.
