Telephone Friends is mutually beneficial for older adults and volunteers. Our social workers will thoughtfully match volunteers and older adults for these friendly connections, with the volunteer calling each week at a mutually agreed upon time. Relationships build while discussing the news of the day, life experiences, hobbies/interests and more during weekly telephone calls. Social workers offer ongoing support to volunteers.
Ages: 18+
Time Commitment: Weekly calls of at least 15 minutes, with a one-year commitment.
Requirements: Orientation, application, interview, references, and background check.
