GENuine Connections: Program Schedule

If you've participated in the past or recently attended a Zoom orientation, it's time to register for an upcoming workshop! We just ask that you only register for one workshop per semester. 

 

Here's how it works:

  • A new window will open up with additional information.
  • Click "Register" to be directed to a Zoom registration page you will need to complete.

Intergenerational Story Circles - One-Time Event!  Tuesday, June 18, 2024, 5:30 – 6:30 PM EST

  • In this one time event, teens and older adults will get together to engage in story circles.  

 

Summer Semester June/July:

    Modern Art Mondays, June 24, July 1 and 8 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM EST

    • Dive into the world of Modern Art in this engaging workshop designed for teens and older adults. 

     

    Story Circles Mondays, June 24, July 1 and 8 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM EST

    • Gain experience as a storyteller by telling personal stories in a supportive group.

     

    Brain Games Mondays, June 24, July 1 and 8 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM EST

    • Join an intergenerational group in playing Jeopardy, trivia, Pictionary and more. Help build intergenerational connections and have fun doing it!

     

    Discussion Group Tuesdays, June 25, July 2 and 9 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM EST

    • We will explore and reflect on topical issues such as education, travel, and media, as they relate to our lives.

     

    Virtual Chess Tuesdays, June 25, July 2 and 9 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM EST

    • Strengthen your skills and make a friend across the chess board! In this setting wisdom and curiosity meet face-to-face, building mutually beneficial relationships in the process. Play chess, share stories, and create meaningful intergenerational connections!

     

    Stress Relief Tuesdays, June 25, July 2 and 9 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM EST

    • Learn practices to reduce stress and increase a sense of wellbeing!

     

    Trivia Wednesdays, June 26, July 3 and 10 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM EST

    • Get ready to put your knowledge to the test with our exciting intergenerational trivia workshop! 

     

    Pop Culture Wednesdays, June 26, July 3 and 10 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM EST

    • Through discussions and story sharing, discover how pop culture shapes our perspectives and can foster connections through the generations.

     

    LGBTQ+ Wednesdays, June 26, July 3 and 10 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM EST

    • Join fellow members of the LGBTQ+ community in conversation and connection.
