Welcome back to GENuine Connections. If you've already participated in the past or recently attended an orientation it's time to register for un upcoming workshop!
Here's how it works:
- Click on the title of the workshop you would like to register for.
- A new window will open up for Zoom Event registration, select an adult or teen ticket.
- Log into Zoom if prompted. Participating in GENuine Connections requires you to have a free Zoom account and to be logged into your account.

Registration for teens is full for the summer, we are currently only accepting adult volunteers 65+
Brain Games Begins Wednesday, July 26, 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM EST
Playing games can reduce stress, increase energy, and improve brain function. That’s why you need to register today to play brain games. Over our four weeks together, our teen interns will lead our intergenerational group in playing Jeopardy, trivia, Pictionary and more. Help build intergenerational connections and have fun doing it!

During our sessions, teen volunteers and older adults will contemplate how our personal experience informs our view of the world. We will share personal perspectives and explore voices from the past to inform our views of current events.
THIS WORKSHOP IS FULL - Virtual Conversations Begins Wednesday, July 26, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM EST
Share stories, experiences, jokes, ideas and much more in an intimate, intergenerational setting through Virtual Conversations. Adults will be paired up with two high school students with whom they’ll meet over the course of four weeks for unstructured and unfiltered conversations. Join this workshop to make a personal connection with someone from a different generation by learning about their life and sharing yours.
Cultural Traditions Begins Wednesday, July 26, 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM EST
Join an intergenerational group for a series of meaningful discussions on our cultural traditions and how we practice them in our homes, with our families, and in the wider community. From food to holidays to music, participants in this course will explore their own cultural experiences and consider the similarities and differences across the generations. Sign up and share your memories, practices, and customs with teens and older adults.
Story Circles Begins Wednesday, July 26, 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM EST
A group of teens and older adults will get together once a week to engage in story circles. A Story Circle is a group of people sitting in a circle (a virtual circle over Zoom), telling personal stories, led by a Story Circle facilitator. Each Story Circle will have a different theme and every session will start and end with an informal gathering and mingling.
