Our programs cater specifically to adults aged 60 and above, with a strong emphasis on promoting health and wellness, fostering social connections, and providing opportunities for continued learning and enrichment. Each program typically lasts between 60 and 90 minutes, and participation is entirely FREE thanks to the generosity of our donors.

DOROT has no general vaccination or mask requirements in place for older adults and volunteers participating in programs currently. However, for the safety of our community, DOROT strongly recommends that everyone be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, staying up to date with COVID-19 vaccines, and annually against the flu. DOROT requires all employees to be fully vaccinated.

Onsite@Home
DOROT’s Onsite@Home (OR Virtual Zoom Programs) bring vibrant, interactive, and life-enhancing programs right to your home via Zoom. Onsite@Home classes are designed for adults 60+ to create social connection among peers, encourage health and wellness and provide opportunities for dynamic learning and enrichment. Multiple classes are offered daily and participation is free. Join us for one or more!
Intergenerational After School Chess (In-Person)
Are you 65+ who either plays chess or is interested in learning? DOROT’s Intergenerational Chess Program welcomes you! Become part of this meaningful community service program.
Health & Wellness Classes
DOROT’s exercise and wellness classes, created for older adults who can benefit from a wide range of low-impact options, help with physical and emotional well-being. Participants credit these programs with inspiring them to stay fit and active, and engaged within the community.
Legacy Arts Workshops
DOROT’s Legacy Arts workshops provide opportunities for older adults to explore their important stories and meaningful memories. Multi-week workshops facilitated by expert arts educators are offered in different media, including memoir writing, storytelling, poetry, studio art classes and more.
Advance Care Planning
People of all ages need to document what they want from their end-of-life care, and to share their wishes with those closest to them. DOROT’s advance care planning programs help ensure that older adults can make thoughtful, knowledgeable and independent decisions for themselves.
Discussion Groups & Social Gatherings
